First Presidential Debate

Decoy subject line . . .

What I really want to know is which is cooler: Hollister or Abercrombie & Fitch. I see that about 20% of all college-age men are wearing one or the other of these brands’ T-shirts, with slightly fewer women wearing them. The philosophical question is WHY are these considered cool . . . or maybe find out if Obama & McCain would be predisposed to wear one or the other. If they decided to try to dress like 19-year-old clowns.

This is a question with a greater relevance in Texas than in California. I recall just a much of a similar Abercrombie & Fitch polo’s style in my time in Austin in 1996-1997.

I used to like the way that A&F polo shirts fit, but now I’m too out of shape… Dave is right, they are more popular in the middle of the country. Hollister is a fake California surf brand developed by A&F, so they are really two sides of the same coin.

It’s the sexy collegiate marketing that gets them. They think if they wear an A&F polo, they will get laid by lots of scantily clad hot co-eds. Marketing genius.
